Fresh Air, A Natural Health Booster.

If you are suffering with any kind of Pain condition, it can be tempting to stay indoors and lock yourself away from the outside world.

But as proven in many studies, the benefits of fresh air to the body are endless, such as

Provides an instant mood boost

Calms and quiets a busy mind

A natural energy enhancer

Due to this I really recommend, switching off your mobile devices, grabbing your walking shoes and taking a walk somewhere quiet e.g. a park, the countryside or maybe just a walk down your road.

The most important thing to remember is that the distance does not matter, its simply about getting some fresh, natural air for your body and mind.

Depending on your symptoms, walking may not be an option, so instead why not see if you can sit outside in your garden and enjoy the nature close to you or simply open all of your windows and enjoy that spring breeze in your comfortable chair.

Hope it helps – Lee

Back to Basics

One of the greatest human inventions is the automobile.

This invention has allowed us to travel the world, to transport goods, to deliver aid and many other uses.

But with all of these great benefits, there are unfortunately, some negatives, such as when they stop working!

If you think of a Motorbike for example, if this was to malfunction, there really could be 101 differing diagnoses depending on the expert / mechanic you talk to …

Some diagnoses could be expensive, some could be time consuming and others may completely misdiagnose.

But ultimately, a petrol engine only needs three elements to function:

Fuel

Air

… and a spark

So if a Petrol engine is not running, it is really recommended that the basics are checked first, to prevent expense and potential prolonged pain of not having any transport.

This is also very true with regards to the human body, when experiencing any physical symptom, always go back to basics e.g.:

Sleep

Hydration / Nutrition

Emotion State

Of course, I am not saying do not seek medical help, but you could save yourself some time by investigating the quality of the above three areas of your life first.

Instant Back Pain Cure

INSTANT, FAST, QUICK, these are all words that are familiar to us in the modern day, as we have all built an expectancy to have our needs met in a very timely manner.

… And of course why should we not!

We have Fast Food, Instant Drinks, Fast Cars and Fast Technology.

So why is it that Pain cannot be cured instantly?

Don’t get me wrong, medication can mask symptoms quickly and other treatments can ease them, but curing long term Back Pain instantly is an illusion.

We have all been brain washed to believe that our health is controlled by external factors and that we can all be cured now!

This is all so understandable, as I too have seen the cleverly marketed Paracetamol ‘curing’ Pill for Back Pain and the 10 minute “AB device” advert between my “Only Fools and Horses” marathon.

In my opinion, Health is an inside job, and so is the healing of Back Pain.

The moment you make the shift from looking externally to looking within, you will make progress and true recovery from your Back Pain.

What is Pain Relief Coaching?

As a Pain Relief Coach I work with people who are in Pain that is caused by emotional repression.

Typically, if I was to discuss the service that I offer to others, I receive 3 types of response.

The response received actually highlights more than just a person’s opinion; it also highlights their relationship with Pain.

Below I have tried to provide an overview of the common responses, where Phase 1 typically focuses on external solutions and Phase 3 is where Pain Relief Coaching could really help:

Phase 1
Rejection of the mind-body concept and some people can be quite offended that I have suggested that their pain may be generated by their unconscious mind.

This group continue to look for external solutions and take little responsibility for their health.

They are waiting to be fixed and they are disappointed when no long lasting progress is made.

Phase 2
An appreciation for the mind-body connection, and they even acknowledge that pain can be worsened by stress.

They can see it in other people, but their pain/symptom is different in some way and still seek an external cure.

Phase 3
Here there is a real shift from looking externally for a cure to looking internally for answers.

Sometimes people get to this phase by exhausting phase 1 & 2, maybe after trying every specialist and/or medication but still finding themselves in pain.

However, no matter how the person arrived here, this is where an empowering active responsibility in their health starts.

Support is still needed in their recovery, but true healing now begins.

If this blog has resonated with you in some way, then why not have a think about the questions below?

  • Are you currently in pain or do you have a reoccurring symptom?
  • From the Phases above, which one do you think you are currently in?
  • What support could you really do with now?
  • Do you have any inconsistencies that make you question your diagnosis?
  • Who could you reach out to, if you wanted to find out more about the mind-body connection?
  • How much of a priority is it to become pain free?

… Depending on your answers, Pain Relief Coaching could be your next needed step on the path to recovery from Pain.

AAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

As humans we know how important venting is.

That’s why buildings have air bricks fitted and engines have breathers fitted to allow the engine to vent.

If these things were not put in place then wooden floors would rot and engines would blow gaskets.

The animal kingdom appears to use this principle more instinctively, when a zebra has narrowly missed death from a lion, it will shake, twitch and jump around, venting and discharging the emotional charge.

However, when it comes to us living in the modern world, we don’t often take the time to vent and discharge from what is bothering us.

Instead we tend to bottle it all up until dis-ease or pain strikes.

Allow a little time to each day to acknowledge how you are feeling and vent the tension in any way you know how.

A few ideas are kick, scream, punch, write, draw, ring a towel, talk or run.
